This National Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife, with Grey Seals, Puffins, Manx Shearwaters, Guillemots & Razorbills. It is located near Marloes village on the Dale peninsula and is easily accessible from Nolton. There are sailings across the short sound from April to October. The boat across can only be booked on the day, and the office is open early for crossings between 10am and 12pm, returning in the afternoon.
The puffins are the main attraction in the early summer months, and the boat gets booked very early so it pays to stay local and get up early! Manx Shearwaters are only seen at night, and there are 120,000 breeding pairs on Skomer, making it the largest colony in the world!
Bluebells cover the island in late spring, followed by red campion in June.

Ramsey Island is located off the Saint Davids peninsular, and is an important RSPB Reserve. It is used by a number of bird species for breeding, including guillemots, razorbills, fulmars and kittiwakes, as well as seals.
In the summer there are boat trips leaving from St Justinians for either a trip around the island, or to cross over for the day.
St Davids Cathedral & Bishop's Palace
The Bishops of St Davids principle palace remains are located alongside St Davids Cathedral in the valley below the city. The first monastery was established in the sixth century.
Dating from an original timber structure in 1093 with the stone castle being started in 1189 Pembroke Castle is Pembrokeshire's largest and best preserved Norman castle. The town of Pembroke grew up around the castle, and still has parts of the town walls visible. Pembroke is on the south part of Pembrokeshire and about 20 minutes drive from Nolton. The castle is open all year and more information about it's history can be found at Pembroke Castle.
Another great example of Pembrokeshire's Norman castles, Carew Castle is a short drive from Pembroke towards Tenby and is well worth a visit, with special events being held in the summer. More information can be found on the Carew Castle & Tidal Mill pages.
